Blue Eyeshadow

And now back to our regularly scheduled programing!

Blue is a beautiful color, it's one of my favorites and when it comes to cosmetics I'm a lemming for blue. Did you know I used to have a fear of blue eyeshadow?

When you think of the stereotypical "bad makeup" face it's bright blue eyeshadow, intense blush and loud lipstick. It's Mimi Bobeck.

This is why I couldn't do blue for years, every time I put it on I thought I looked like this! Even though I loved blue I thought it was an impossible eye shadow shade.

I don't quite know how I got over it but I wear blue eyeshadow more than any other color, even more than purple (my favoritest favorite color). The funny thing about it is all my fear was really for nothing because I always get complements when I wear it- be it bright blue or navy.

One thing I can say for Mimi, terrible makeup aside, she always acted like she looked fabulous. I think that's a big part of it. Be fearless and you'll feel amazing, even if you don't look it. Who cares if you don't look perfect any way...
