My Favorite Face Wash

The skin on my face is annoying, to say the least. It's oily but if I dare try to remove said oil it rebels and leaves me looking like a dried up lake bed. My bathroom cabinet is a graveyard of half used facial cleaners, I have tried so many things... so many disappointing things.

Since my face is prone to drying up, cracking, flaking, and sometimes bleeding after washing I was weary of using bar soap on it. Bar soap tends to dry out even my non-face skin to the point of uncomfortable tightness. Let me just say, I am very surprised that I am now singing the praises for a bar of soap.

I didn't set out to purchase soap or anything for use on my face when I came across this little gem. It was my search for a sugar scrub to rescue my legs from winter dryness that led me to it. I purchased my sugar scrub (and my soap) from Scented Luxuries on Etsy. I got the soap as a free sample and I promptly forgot about it until a little while ago. I'm not sure what compelled me to try it on my face, perhaps it was the fabulous smell or maybe the rich, creamy lather. Any way, I used it on my face and everything went amazingly well. Makeup residue- gone. Oil slick- gone. Dry flaky skin? No where in sight! It's also really nice to shave with thanks to the great lather, it's really way better than any shaving cream.

The soap I purchased from Scented Luxuries is the Peppermint Cream Goats Milk Soap. Peppermint cream is one of my favorite scents and it reminds me of my favorite perfume, Dessert Absinthe from The Morbid The Merrier. There are plenty of other fragrances to choose from if creamy mint isn't to your fancy. The full sized bars are nice and big, the set of 3 I ordered weighs a pound all together.

If you're curious about the sugar scrub, it was the strawberry one and it smelled good enough to eat. I seriously thought about tasting it every single time I used it. It's a very nice sugar scrub and made my dry legs happy all winter.

Per the Etsy listing, the soap ingredients are
Ingredients:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Goat's Milk, Vitamin E Oil, Glycerin, Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Sorbitol, Sorbitan Oleate, Soybean Protein, Titanium Dioxide, Color, Fragrance

Toxins Found in "Non-Toxic" Nail Polish

Won't be posting regularly until mid-May most likely...

Toxins found in "non-toxic" polish

Are our "big three free" polish really big three free? Rather disturbing to find so many products hiding the truth.
