My Favorite Nude Lipstick

Maybelline Colorsensational in 815 Tenacious Taupe

It's a warm nude that's not as pink as L'oreal Sultry Raven's Pout but much warmer and a bit darker than MAC Myth and MAC Creme d'Nude.

The finish is satin, but not like MAC Myth (which in my opinion is more of a matte). This is a true satin finish.

It wears well even through eating and drinking. It's a tad drying but not obnoxiously so like MAC Myth.

One thing I do not like is the ugly packaging. The Colorsensational line comes in cheap looking square transparent plastic cases. The lid goes down the majority of the length of the tube leaving this odd square base. They are very lightweight and just feel cheap and fragile in my hand.

Sugarpill Heartbreaker

Getting back to business...
I love the new Sugarpill Heartbreaker palette. The colors are so bright and summery and super pretty. I have not yet used the purple shade 2 am because I am currently obsessed with doing this look:

Fyrinnae Bifrost in the inner corner blended into Sugarpill Acidberry and then Sugarpill Mochi in the outer V. Sugarpill Velocity applied wet with Medusa's Makeup eyeliner sealant as the liner on top of the lid and the waterline.

Lips are Shiro 40 Cakes.

I find that the colors in this palette are a bit softer than the single pressed shadows I have from SP. They are easier to blend as a result (I love Poison Plum but sometimes this one can be a bitch to blend).

ALSO... I HATE TRYING TO MAKE A POST IN THE NEW BLOGGER WTF ARRRG

My Favorite Face Wash

The skin on my face is annoying, to say the least. It's oily but if I dare try to remove said oil it rebels and leaves me looking like a dried up lake bed. My bathroom cabinet is a graveyard of half used facial cleaners, I have tried so many things... so many disappointing things.

Since my face is prone to drying up, cracking, flaking, and sometimes bleeding after washing I was weary of using bar soap on it. Bar soap tends to dry out even my non-face skin to the point of uncomfortable tightness. Let me just say, I am very surprised that I am now singing the praises for a bar of soap.

I didn't set out to purchase soap or anything for use on my face when I came across this little gem. It was my search for a sugar scrub to rescue my legs from winter dryness that led me to it. I purchased my sugar scrub (and my soap) from Scented Luxuries on Etsy. I got the soap as a free sample and I promptly forgot about it until a little while ago. I'm not sure what compelled me to try it on my face, perhaps it was the fabulous smell or maybe the rich, creamy lather. Any way, I used it on my face and everything went amazingly well. Makeup residue- gone. Oil slick- gone. Dry flaky skin? No where in sight! It's also really nice to shave with thanks to the great lather, it's really way better than any shaving cream.

The soap I purchased from Scented Luxuries is the Peppermint Cream Goats Milk Soap. Peppermint cream is one of my favorite scents and it reminds me of my favorite perfume, Dessert Absinthe from The Morbid The Merrier. There are plenty of other fragrances to choose from if creamy mint isn't to your fancy. The full sized bars are nice and big, the set of 3 I ordered weighs a pound all together.

If you're curious about the sugar scrub, it was the strawberry one and it smelled good enough to eat. I seriously thought about tasting it every single time I used it. It's a very nice sugar scrub and made my dry legs happy all winter.

Per the Etsy listing, the soap ingredients are
Ingredients:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Goat's Milk, Vitamin E Oil, Glycerin, Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Sorbitol, Sorbitan Oleate, Soybean Protein, Titanium Dioxide, Color, Fragrance

Favorite Things

Synthetic dreads from I Kick Shins
IKS is a fantastic company, stellar products and stellar customer service.

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shimmering Keratin Oil
Makes my hair shiny and soft with out being oily. Unlike other shine sprays I have used it doesn't wear off by the end of the day. The shine and softness actually last DAYS.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
I was hesitant to try this at first because it's $18 for a measly 0.35 oz! But that tiny amount actually lasts FOREVER. Each tube expires after 12 months and while mine is getting low I think I will have to toss it before I finish it. For real, it's been close to a full year and I haven't used up the tube. Plus this stuff never creases or fades and is absolutely fool proof. You never have to worry about getting just the right amount like you do with other primers. Mattes and shimmers all blend and apply effortlessly.

Demonia Riot 20s
What can I say, I pretty much live in these boots. They get me through rain, snow and mud and keep my feet dry and look awesome at the same time.

Favorite Places

Fyrinnae
Most of my makeup is from Fyrinnae. The colors are beautiful and complex. The website is taken down frequently to keep orders manageable... but the products are worth the hassle of trying to catch the website being open. Their product Pixie Epoxy is amazeballs (seriously, if you don't own this go buy it right now).

Hi-Fi Cosmetics
I love the texture of Hi-Fi's shadows. They work pretty well with out primer too. There tends to be a LONG turn around time for orders though. One thing I don't like is you have to check the Facebook page for updates, they're not posted directly to her store front.

Sugarpill
Sugarpill is awesome! Everything about the brand is so well thought out and perfectly executed. The prices are a bit high but you get a huge amount of product. My MAC pressed eyeshadow looks down right puny next to my Sugarpill pressed shadows. The loose shadows are also gigantic, I don't think I'll be able to finish one. Speaking of working well with out primer, Sugarpill's hit the mark. Not that I don't use primer, it just feels worth mentioning.

Llarowe
I'm addicted to sparkly nail polish and this site is my dealer.

Shiro Cosmetics
Really pretty shadows, the Intertubes are also awesome. I need to buy 40 Cakes.

The Morbid The Merrier
My favorite fragrances of all time, I never really cared for perfume before finding this shop. I hate florals for the most part and my sense of smell is almost non-existent, most other fragrances just smell like generic flowers and blah. My favorites are Dessert Absinthe (I wear this almost every day), Horseman, Agatha, Black Jack, El Corazon, Brom and Natali.
