Milani Color Statement Lipstick in 01 Sweet Nectar

Orange lipsticks have become a favorite for me since dying my hair red-orange. My go-to lippie has been L'oreal Volcanic but I recently picked up a Milani Color Statement called Sweet Nectar and it packs quite a punch! It's a very bright orange that leans juuuuuust slightly red. The formula is creamy and not too drying. So far it has worn amazingly well, leaving a slight stain behind as it fades. It has a strong scent at first but it fades quickly. It smells like melon, I like it so I don't mind it.

On my eyes, for those that are wondering: L'oreal Hip silver (Platinum duo), Wet n Wild Creme Brulee, Wet n Wild Panther, Jordana Semi Permanent Liquid Liner and Milani Easyliner in black all applied over Too Faced Glitter Glue. Mascara is Benefit They're Real.

Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liner in 01 Infinite Review

Hmm, I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this product. It promises up to 24 hrs of wear (which is a garbage claim that I'm sick of seeing) and says it is waterproof and wears comfortably.

Picked this up at Walmart for about $6. There are 4 other shades available: black, bronze, green and purple.

NOTD- Acid Moons

First attempt at a moon manicure, probably would've went better if I had not chosen that Milani polish. I love the color but it is sooooooooooo sheer and chips if you look at it.

Milani Neon Totally 80s, 4 coats+
Pure Ice French Kiss*, 2 coats

I used paper reinforcer stickers as a guide. They didn't play nice with the Milani polish and pulled some of it off. I had to go back over it a few times on a couple nails. They also left my nails very sticky! I had gobs of lint all over them in no time and it was a pain in the arse to clean that up with out damaging the polish.

*French Kiss is not as green when it's not applied over green polish

NOTD- Toxic Cotton Candy

Petites 580 Daze with LA Girl Glitter Addict Uninhibited on top. Daze is a nice bright metallic chartreuse. It's thin so that's about 4 coats there. Uninhibited is a black glitter that has really small round glitter and slightly larger hex glitter. It applies a bit dense so I was careful to apply it thin enough to not overwhelm the base color.

On the index finger is Milani Neon 507 Pink Hottie with Laquistry Cotton Candy on top. Pink Hottie is a nice bright light pink, it's fairly opaque but takes at least 3 coats to get rid of visible nail line. The Laquistry polish is gorgeous, small blue glitter and multiple sizes of bright metallic pink hex glitter. I'm going to try this on a blue base next. The pictures here do not do this polish justice at all. Please go here and look at all the pretty pictures and buy it for yourself to truly appreciate how nice it is!

NOTD- Cupcake Sprinkles

A very girly nail of the day. This is my first time trying a gradient, I think it came out alright. It would probably be easier with a thinner polish than Kiki. My second coat of Kiki went on too opaque over some of the nails (really noticeable on my pinkies).

1. Base coat
2. 3 coats Nubar Hologram Glitter to entire nail (holographic silver glitter)
3. 1 super thin coat ZOYA Kiki to the very tip of the nail (bright blue based pink jelly with shimmer)
4. 1 super thin coat ZOYA Kiki applied from the tip to 3/4 of the way down the nail
5. 1 super thin coat Nubar Hologram Glitter to the entire nail
6. 1 coat Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Princess Cut to the entire nail (baby pink flakey)
7. 1 coat Milani Diamond Dazzle to the bottom 1/4 of nail, blend over both colors (silver, white and rainbow round glitter)
8. Top coat! For gritty glitters like Diamond Dazzle I like to use Sally Hansen Hard As Wraps Nylon + Acrylic Gel (CVS exclusive).
