NOTD- Two-for-one

If I remember correctly this started with a base of Rimmel French Cafe, a nude jelly. Then it was Nubar Holographic on top. The tips were made using Nailene tip guides and Color Club Disco Dress which was then topped with Fing'rs V.I.Purple, a glass fleck with pink iridescence.

This is all done over a base of Wet n Wild Spoiled Black Mamba, a grey glass flecked black. On the pinky it is topped with Orly Bubbly Bombshell, a fab fuchsia glitter. On the ring finger it is Pure Ice Wide Awake, a blue glitter. The rest have ncLA Sugar Fix, a gorgeous grey jelly with fuchsia and blue glitter. 

Tried hard to get a good picture of this but It's tough. This is super glittery and shiny and looks so much better IRL.

NOTD- Purple Smoke

Another gradient YAAAY! *waves arms around like Kermit*

Here's what I did:
1. 1 coat Glitter Girl Frappe to all except ring finger
2. 1 thin coat Nubar Hologram Glitter to all except ring finger
3. 1 thin coat Revlon Grape Icy to nail tip to all except ring finger
4. 1 thin coat Revlon Grape Icy to the top 1/2 of nail to all except ring finger
5. 1 thin coat Revlon Grape Icy from tip to 3/4 of the way down the nail to all except ring finger
6. 1 thin coat Nubar Hologram Glitter to all except ring finger
7. To ring finger, 2 coats of Color Club Teal Twinkle
8. To ring finger, 2 thin coats of Glitter Girl Frappe from cuticle to middle of the nail

Color Club Teal Twinkle is a pain in the ass to work with, it's a nail art polish so it has one of those super long and thin brushes. I don't have a problem doing a whole nail with one of those usually but this polish is THICK and kinda goopy. It's so annoying to work with which is a shame because it's a gorgeous grey with multi color sparkle.

Revlon Grape Icy is a polish I hated before I did this manicure. It's a scented polish that smells really good but it's too thin to use on the whole nail. It's impossible to get a full even coat (even doing this I had trouble). When I first got this I tried to use it, wound up doing 6 coats and it still was patchy and took eleventy billion* years to dry so I tossed it banished it like an evil queen to my polish drawer and forgot about it.

NOTD- Cupcake Sprinkles

A very girly nail of the day. This is my first time trying a gradient, I think it came out alright. It would probably be easier with a thinner polish than Kiki. My second coat of Kiki went on too opaque over some of the nails (really noticeable on my pinkies).

1. Base coat
2. 3 coats Nubar Hologram Glitter to entire nail (holographic silver glitter)
3. 1 super thin coat ZOYA Kiki to the very tip of the nail (bright blue based pink jelly with shimmer)
4. 1 super thin coat ZOYA Kiki applied from the tip to 3/4 of the way down the nail
5. 1 super thin coat Nubar Hologram Glitter to the entire nail
6. 1 coat Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Princess Cut to the entire nail (baby pink flakey)
7. 1 coat Milani Diamond Dazzle to the bottom 1/4 of nail, blend over both colors (silver, white and rainbow round glitter)
8. Top coat! For gritty glitters like Diamond Dazzle I like to use Sally Hansen Hard As Wraps Nylon + Acrylic Gel (CVS exclusive).
